NCL (Norwegian Cruise Line)

NCL is mass-market cruising. They don’t have as big of ships as Royal Caribbean. They don’t have as many ships as Carnival. NCL is the third-largest cruise line in the world. NCL offers “Freestyle Cruising”. What that means is that they don’t schedule your dinner, which isn’t saying a lot, but here is what makes NCL a good cruise option:

  • Solo cruising taken seriously
    • NCL has lots of solo stateroom options. This means that you save on the solo supplement, leaving more money for shore excursions and souvenirs.
  • Budget-Friendly
    • NCL tends to be slightly cheaper than Royal Caribbean and Carnival

Summary

There really aren’t a lot of unique traits to NCL, but they offer a good experience at a reasonable price. They are also great for solo travelers. There are also few, if any downsides. An NCL cruise will be a good cruise.
